Judith Sacco, a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, checked on Rakan during his early time in Boston, before he was transferred to the Spaulding Rehabilitation pediatric center. For the first few weeks, until Rakan and his uncle tested negative for contagious illnesses, visitors and staff had to wear masks in Rakan's room.
