Hampton and the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire  have completed two easements to limit the future development of the Batchelder Farm one of the largest tracts of undeveloped land in town. The easements will protect 103 acres of forest and farmland. They cost $832,500. Last year, Hampton voters approved spending $250,000 on the easements. The remainder of the money came from the federal Natural Resources Conservation Service , the New Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program , the Hampton Conservation Fund, and $11,500 in private gifts.end of story marker
