The Nashua School District had a surplus last year that will be used to offset the city’s tax rate. The Board of Education elected to send to the $684,468 surplus to the city. The amount is less than 1 percent of the district’s $94.5 million budget. The figure is slightly less than the $760,000 the schools gave back to the city the previous year .
