The City Council has approved a partnership with the Prescott Park Arts Festival  to fund improvements to the bathrooms and concessions at the riverside park. Under the plan, the city will enter a 25-year lease with the festival for use of the renovated park building. In return the arts group will contribute about $200,000 toward the project, which is expected to cost $560,000. The council unanimously approved the partnership and directed City Manager John Bohenko to negotiate the lease agreement. The project has also been awarded tax credits by the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority.end of story marker
