CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The conservative group Cornerstone Action is leading a religious rally in New Hampshire against a federal requirement that insurance policies cover birth control.

The rally is from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday on the Statehouse lawn. Cornerstone executive director Shannon McGinley says the rally is in conjunction with similar events in more than 100 other communities across the country.

The rally is to protest a requirement under the federal Affordable Care Act that employers include birth control and sterilization in health coverage. McGinley says business owners should not be forced to pay for something they feel violates their moral or religious beliefs. She said people who want birth control pills still can have access to them if they pay for them.end of story marker
