DENVER (AP) — Kevin Goumas scored three of New Hampshire’s four third-period goals Saturday as the Wildcats rallied to beat Denver 6-4 in men’s college hockey.
Goumas scored the last three points of the game for New Hampshire (9-1-2), which trailed 4-2 heading into the third period. He finished with five points.
Grayson Downing started the Wildcats’ third-period rally with a goal at 1:19 of the period. Grayson scored three goals.
The third-ranked Wildcats blew a four-goal lead on Friday and ended in a 4-4 tie with Colorado College.
Denver (9-3-0) got a goal and an assist from Ty Loney. Gabe Levin, Dan Doremus and Matt Tabrum gave the Pioneers a 3-0 lead after one period.
