Gloria Steinem to speak in NH

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Feminist leader Gloria Steinem is coming to New Hampshire to speak about equality.
RiverRun Bookstore says Steinem will speak April 19 at the South Church in downtown Portsmouth. The event is titled, ‘‘Steinem Speaks: Why Equality Matters to Everyone.’’
The 78-year-old Steinem is recognized as a leader of the women’s liberation movement in the 1960s and 1970s. She was a co-founder of Ms. Magazine and has written many books.
The event is co-sponsored by the Hampshire Women’s Initiative and by The Women’s Fund of New Hampshire.
