NASHUA — State Attorney General Joseph Foster said his office has been part of a police investigation of Mayor Donnalee Lozeau of Nashua and her husband from the time it started.
The mayor said police have been investigating her and her husband, a former bail commissioner, after someone he sued made allegations about him to the police. She said it started in 2009, was closed without any charges, then reopened this year.
Foster, who became attorney general this year, told The Telegraph of Nashua that the Police Department reached out to the attorney general’s office in 2009 and kept the office informed of the investigation. It was not clear if the office would be involved in any review of the investigation. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
