Prosecutors in a New Hampshire courtroom played video of a June 16 fight between three members of a Vermont family and police. The probable cause hearing was held Tuesday in a Salem, N.H. courtroom.
Surveillance video from the park played in court showed the June 16 incident. Lt. Michael Kelly said the fight started when Joshua Perry was being placed under arrest.
“He immediately tries to pull his arms away from us,” Kelly said.
Officers began struggling with Joshua Perry, Brian Perry and Elmer Perry. At one point, Brian Perry can be seen wrapping his arms around one of the officers, with his hand near the officer’s gun.
According to police, the fight started when Joshua Perry tried to enter the park while wearing knives on his belt. The fracas soon spiraled out of control, with multiple family members and officers involved in the altercation, according to police. The three men are charged with felony riot.
