State legislator killed in Amherst crash
AMHERST, N.H. --A state legislator from Amherst was killed and five people injured in a three-car crash on Route 101.
Republican Rep. Lee Slocum, 63, died from injuries he suffered Sunday afternoon when his car was rear-ended as he slowed for a left-hand turn and pushed into the path of an oncoming van, police said.
A family of five from Bedford in the van suffered minor injuries.![]()
