Members of Freecycle.org help N.H. family after fire

WOODSVILLE, N.H. --Subscribers to a Web site where anyone can advertise free stuff are helping a family get back on their feet after a fire.

The Freecycle Network is an Internet forum that allows people to give things away or find items they need for free.

A Christmas Eve fire left the Kearney family homeless and destroyed almost everything they owned. A friend put a posting on Freecycle, and since then the Kearneys have gotten donations of furniture, clothing and gift cards from Freecycle members.

They might even get a new home. A salesman at a car dealership in Plymouth has offered the Kearneys a two-bedroom mobile home that came with a piece of land he's buying.

Now they're using Freecycle to try and locate some land where they can put it and someone to help them move it.
