Clark concerned about Iran
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. --Speaking in New Hampshire yesterday, former presidential hopeful General Wesley Clark says he's concerned with what he sees as a looming United States war with Iran.
At a fund-raiser for Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, Clark said military action in Iran should be a last resort used only after diplomacy and economic tactics. On Iraq, Clarks says it will take more than extra troops to stabilize the country. He says a sound Iraq police includes diplomacy and an emphasis on putting security and political control into the hands of the Iraqi government.
Asked if he would consider a 2008 presidential bid, Clark said he hasn't ruled it out.
Shea-Porter worked on Clark's primary campaign in 2003. He returned the favor by helping her campaign for Congress.
