Man charged with faking death certificate to delay divorce

NEWPORT, N.H. --A New Hampshire grand jury has indicted a 57-year-old man for doctoring a death certificate in his effort to delay divorce proceedings.

Prosecutors say John Kolozetski, 57, showed a judge a document he said was the death certificate for a woman who was the mother of his child. He said he needed a continuance in the case to grieve.

The court noticed a problem, though: two women's names were on different part of the documents.

Prosecutors say Kolozetski, who now lives in West Palm Beach, Fla., didn't know either woman and there is no child.

He's due in Sullivan County court in May.
