ALTON, N.H.—Autopsies confirm that an Alton woman killed her husband before taking her own life Friday morning.

Both 42-year-old Angela Bystrack and 44-year-old Robert Bystrack died of head wounds. The couple's 11-year-old daughter, who also was shot in the head, survived and was in stable condition Saturday.

Angela Bystrack had been a part-time police officer and the town's animal control officer until about a year ago. Her husband was an electrician who had served as an alternate on the town planning board.
