Still no agreement as teacher strike looms in Nashua
NASHUA, N.H.—They met for four hours, but couldn't come up with an agreement to head off a looming teacher strike in Nashua (New Hampshire).
Negotiators from the teachers' union and School Board met Tuesday, and say they will sit down again on Thursday to try to reach agreement.
Parents and children rallied in support of the teachers outside City Hall on Tuesday.
School officials have been working to line up substitutes if the teachers walk out, and the city has gone to court to try to prevent a strike. It's illegal for public employees to go on strike in the state.
