NORTH CONWAY, N.H.—Waters appeared to be receding after flood warnings were declared along at least two rivers in New Hampshire.

The Saco and Pemigewasset rivers crested Tuesday afternoon, and a flood warning was issued for the Pemigewasset River in Plymouth and the Saco River in Conway. Both rivers were expected to be a foot above flood stage.

Officials in Conway were keeping a close eye on the Saco River after the steady rains. Some low-lying areas did get submerged Tuesday, but no major roadways were affected.
