Auto dealership diner helps people with disabilities succeed
MANCHESTER, N.H. --A new diner in Manchester is unusual both for its location and philosophy.
The diner at the Quirk Chevrolet Buick dealership is a partnership between the auto retailer and Moore Center Services, which helps people with developmental disabilities.
The center's clients run the 1950s-style diner, and it keeps the revenue. The dealership paid to build the diner and doesn't charge the Moore Center rent. Owner Dan Quirk, who has a similar arrangement at a concession stand at one of his Massachusetts dealerships, says the partnership benefits the Moore Center clients, his employees and his customers.
