NH teen who threatened to 'do a Columbine' pleads guilty

MANCHESTER, N.H.—A Manchester teen who threatened a Columbine-style shooting at his high school has been released from jail after pleading guilty to all five charges against him.

Sterling Lindbloom was accused of telling a former girlfriend in February that he was going to bring a gun to West High School and "do a Columbine" -- a reference to the 1999 shootings at Columbine High School in Colorado.

He pleaded guilty to five counts of criminal threatening and was sentenced to five years behind bars, but all the jail time was suspended except for the 2 1/2 months he already has served. He was released Monday.

Police said Lindbloom threatened to shoot his former girlfriend, another student, teachers and several school officials. He was not armed when arrested the same day he made the threats but police later recovered four knives, two hatchets, ammunition and a a copper pipe near his home.
