GOFFSTOWN, N.H.—Parents have voted to buy the Villa Augustina School in Goffstown from the religious order that owned it for 90 years.

The parents and the order, the Religious of Jesus and Mary, are expected to sign the purchase and sale agreement on Wednesday, signaling a new beginning for the school, which was set to close at the end of this school year.

Five months ago, the order said it no longer could support the school. Parents began a fundraising campaign and raised more than $700,000.

The official parents' vote came Sunday night after they learned that the religious order had approved a purchase and sale agreement.

They hope to close on the sale at the end of June.
