GOP operative hopes to sell N.H. phone jamming story
CONCORD, N.H.—A Republican consultant who served three months in prison for his role in a 2002 plot against New Hampshire Democrats may sell his story to Hollywood.
Allen Raymond served time in prison for his role in a phone jamming scandal by tying up Democrats' get-out-the-vote lines on Election Day. Billy Ray, who writes, produces and directs movies, says he's writing a screenplay based on Raymond's book "How To Rig An Election." Ray says he's negotiating with Fox Searchlight Pictures to produce a movie based on the script.
Raymond, former president of Virginia-based GOP Marketplace LLC, pleaded guilty to organizing the jamming.
