CONCORD, N.H.—A convicted New Hampshire armed robber is behind bars in Massachusetts after failing to report to a parole officer on his first day out of jail.
Twenty-nine-year-old Julio Rivera was released Tuesday morning from the New Hampshire State Prison. He was ordered to report to a parole officer in Massachusetts. When he failed to show up Tuesday night, authorities issued an arrest warrant.
New Hampshire Corrections spokesman Jeff Lyons says Rivera was arrested during the night in Springfield. He had no details on the arrest.
Rivera was sentenced in September 2004 to 3 1/2 to 7 years imprisonment for robbing two women in Grafton County.![]()
