Former NH nursing home worker charged
CONCORD, N.H. --A former New Hampshire nursing home worker faces charges she stole money from an elderly patient's bank account and charged goods to a dead patient's credit card.
Twenty-two-year-old Nadeige Vilgrain of Manchester is charged with theft and identity fraud. The former Mount Carmel Nursing Home worker is accused of using the money from the bank account to pay her utility bills. She also is accused of charging shoes, boot and a computer cable on the dead patient's credit card.
Police say they began investigating after a woman called to complain about unauthorized charges on her late mother's credit card. Police say Vilgrain also accessed a man's bank account and electronically transferred $1,400 to pay five utility bills. Vilgrain worked at the home from June 2007 to last March.
