LACONIA, N.H.—Police say 32-year-old Paul Richards of Laconia, New Hampshire, has been indicted on charges he kidnapped two women and locked them in the trunk of their car.

Police Chief Mike Moyer says the indictment was the result of a five-month investigation.

Richards was arrested after the Feb. 16 incident. Police said he stole the woman's car and dumped it in an area close to where the two women had been abandoned in their car trunk.
