PORTSMOUTH, N.H.—Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean is in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to energize local activists around the campaigns of Senator Barack Obama and other Democratic candidates.
That's according to Terie Norelli, speaker of the New Hampshire House.
Dean was scheduled to be at Norelli's home Friday afternoon. The event is not open to the public.
Norelli said she expects about 40-50 people to attend the gathering.
"With about 130 days left until the general election, he is travelling through New England to get Democratic activists enthusiastic," Norelli said.
