N.H. mom charged with leaving baby in hot car

MANCHESTER, N.H.—A Manchester woman accused of leaving her baby in a hot car at the Mall of New Hampshire has been charged with child endangerment.

Police say 22-year-old Harriet Martey left her 1-year-old son in her unlocked SUV Friday morning and went into the mall. A passer-by heard the child crying and called a mall security officer, who removed the child from the vehicle.

Police the SUV was extremely hot. The baby was hot and sweaty but not injured.
