CONCORD, N.H.—New Hampshire governor John Lynch has signed three bills to encourage developing more affordable housing for workers and their families.

One asks property assessors to consider the rents that are being collected instead of relying on the market value of subsidized housing developed using government tax credits. Supporters say this could expand housing options.

Another bill is designed to make it easier for communities to set up their own housing commissions.

The third could help developers resolve legal problems quicker.
