CONCORD, N.H.—About 24 hours after a flood claimed the life of a 7-year-old girl in Ashland, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Central New Hampshire.

Ashland, Plymouth, Holderness and other towns could receive another one to two inches of rainfall from thunderstorms.

The Weather Service says those areas are already saturated from recent heavy rainfall and flooding.

The Weather Service is warning motorists not to drive on roads covered by water as most flood-related deaths occur in automobiles.

The warning is until 7:15 p.m. Friday.
