Hanna's remnants hit NH, roads, restaurants flood

MANCHESTER, N.H. --New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch was headed to Manchester Sunday morning to tour damage left by the remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna.

Manchester was particularly hard hit, with the public works department responding to more than 200 calls about flooding by early evening. Water sloshed along Elm Street downtown, flooding some restaurants and roads and leaving cars stranded. In another part of the city, firefighters had to use a boat to rescue the occupants of a submerged car.

Storm waters also led to roads being closed in Hollis, Laconia and other communities.
