LACONIA, N.H.—A New Hampshire man is facing charges he stole a police cruiser and then led officers on a three-town chase in another vehicle.
Thirty-nine-year Brett Davis of Laconia is facing charges he drove off Saturday night in the cruiser of a Laconia police officer who had responded to a complaint that Davis drove his pickup truck into his girlfriend's vehicle.
Police recovered the cruiser after about 25 minutes.
Davis then allegedly got back into his own vehicle and led police on a chase through Laconia, Gilmanton and Pittsfield, where he was arrested.
The New Hampshire Union Leader says Davis is being held at Merrimack County jail in Boscawen. He's due in court Monday to answer some of the charges.
