DURHAM, N.H.—Vice President Joe Biden will visit the University of New Hampshire next week to give schools, colleges and universities new guidance on preventing and responding to sexual assault.

Biden and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will be in Durham on Monday to call attention to sexual assault and violence committed against young women across the country. The vice president's office says that despite the progress made since the landmark Violence Against Women Act Biden authored in 1994, the threat of violence and abuse continues for young women.

The trip is meant to highlight what the Obama administration calls its commitment to policies to prevent sexual assault against women of all ages.
