A bear may have caused a two-car crash in New Hampshire Sunday that injured seven people, including two Massachusetts residents who were left in critical condition, police said. James Iannuzzi, 44, of Boston, was traveling south on Route 16 in Center Ossipee when he apparently swerved to avoid a bear that had been struck by another car, Ossipee police said. Iannuzzi’s 1997 Lincoln Town car hit a 2006 Land Rover driven by Sandra Peoples, 50, of Conway, N.H. Iannuzzi and his two passengers, Brian Berglund, 44, of Winthrop and Jonathan Harker, 34, of Boston were taken to area hospitals. Iannuzzi and Berglund were in critical condition, the statement said. Harker was in stable condition. Peoples and her three underage passengers were in stable condition.![]()
