CONCORD, N.H.—The New Hampshire Food Bank plans to use a $5,000 grant to partner with the state Corrections Department to train inmates in food manufacturing.

It wants to turn its kitchen facility into a revenue-producing manufacturing and processing center.

The food bank received the grant from the Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire. It's the first year the foundation is awarding grants.

Another recipient is ABI innovation Hub. The Manchester-based business incubator plans to create a web site that will serve as a virtual hub to help entrepreneurs connect with resources, organizations, and events that will help them to boost their businesses.

The foundation is designed to involve entrepreneurs, company management, employees, and investors in philanthropy as a way to support New Hampshire's quality of life and the health of its communities.
