JAFFREY, N.H.—Authorities say the highest total snowfall from the unseasonable weekend storm was 31.4 inches in Jaffrey.

National Weather Service spokesman Chris Vaccaro says the total is the highest for anywhere in the Northeast. Troy, N.H., got 25 inches, and West Swanzey got 24.

The unusually early storm dumped heavy, wet snow across the region over the weekend and cut power to millions of customers.
