Fires set before Concord bicycle shops burglarized
CONCORD, N.H.—New Hampshire police believe whoever burglarized two Concord bicycle shops three times this week first set fires to distract police.
Police say whoever broke into S&W Sports Tuesday stole a mountain bicycle worth more than $3,000.
Two days later Goodale's Bike Shop was broken into but nothing was taken. Police say an audible alarm may have sent the thief or thieves running.
S&W Sports was broken into again Thursday, but nothing was taken. All three break-ins occurred between midnight and 2 a.m.
Police are looking for a dark-colored extended-cab truck with a cap over the truck's bed. The truck was viewed twice on surveillance video taken at S&W Sports.
Police say before each burglary, they were dispatched to dumpster fires and believe the arsons and burglaries are linked.![]()
