Police: Driver abandons dogs on NH road

DANVILLE, N.H.—Police in New Hampshire are looking for a man who pushed two dogs out the passenger door of a pickup truck and left them on a road.

Witnesses told police in Danville the dogs, a poodle mix and a dachshund mix, were pushed out the truck at about 9 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Twin Bridges Road and Sandown Road.

WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/AzdiZ2) police said the dogs were dirty and in need of care. They were taken to the New Hampshire SPCA.

Anyone with information about the dogs or their owner is asked to call police.
