NH's Bass and Guinta compromise on new districts

CONCORD, N.H.—While fights over a vetoed redistricting plan in the House have attracted media attention, a compromise on Congressional districts between Rep. Charlie Bass and Rep. Frank Guinta has eased the process for the Senate.
The Senate passed a plan supported by the two congressmen without debate on Wednesday to swap three towns from Guinta's district with three from Bass's.
Under the compromise, Center Harbor, Deerfield and Northwood would leave Guinta's District One for Bass's District Two. In exchange, Bass surrenders Campton, Sanbornton and Tilton. The resulting deviation is two voters.
The districts are adjusted every 10 years after the census.
The plan now goes to the House.
