Shaheen to host economic forum in northern NH
BERLIN, N.H.—New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen is hosting a town hall forum in the North Country on how to grow the state's economy through innovation and training.
The forum is being held at White Mountains Community College in Berlin on Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Before that, Shaheen is visiting the Gorham Paper and Tissue mill and will hear updates on the company's plans for future growth. The mill, the last one in the North Country, re-opened last year.
Shaheen also will be visiting Kennett High School in North Conway to discuss her legislation to give high school students greater access to non-traditional science, technology, engineering and math education programs. She also will meet the school's robotics team and take part in operating the robots.
