PITTSFIELD, Mass.—Berkshire Community College has released the names of three finalists for the president's job.

The finalists announced Tuesday are Steven Budd, president of River Valley Community College in Claremont, N.H.; Ellen Kennedy, the school's current interim president; and Valerie Roberson, vice president of academic affairs at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Ill.

The Berkshire Eagle ( http://bit.ly/IHgOzT) reports that the candidates are scheduled to visit the Pittsfield campus between May 7 and 10 to meet with faculty, staff, and students. Each will also be interviewed by the board of trustees.

BCC expects the new president to be in place by July 1. The school is seeking to replace Paul Raverta, who retired after six years.

The school has about 2,500 students.
