Attempted murder trial to begin in NH
NASHUA, N.H.—Jury selection gets under way this week in the trial of a New Hampshire woman charged with repeatedly stabbing another woman outside her home.
Twenty-four-year-old Stephanie Kenyon of Merrimack is charged with attempted murder. Jury selection begins Tuesday in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
Prosecutors say Kenyon attacked 40-year-old Sandra Gross outside her Milford home in April 2011, stabbing her repeatedly in the chest, stomach and leg.
The Nashua Telegraph ( http://bit.ly/KQ6Jn8) says Gross was rushed to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua and later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Her co-workers at the Nashua Transit District later established a fund to help with her medical bills.
If convicted, Kenyon would face a sentence of up to life in prison.
