GOFFSTOWN, N.H.—A lightning strike is being blamed for a fire that destroyed a building that housed baseball equipment and training facilities at a youth baseball field in Goffstown.
Fire officials say a bolt of lightning during Saturday afternoon's thunderstorms struck a building at Allard Park that contained indoor batting cages, pitching mounds and various equipment used by the local baseball league.
WMUR-TV ( http://bit.ly/R0hV50) reported that fire crews from Goffstown and neighboring towns put out the fire, but not before the building burned to the ground.
