NH woman drowns in lake in Meredith

MEREDITH, N.H.—Authorities say a New Hampshire woman has drowned in a lake in Meredith.
State Police Marine Patrol members say they were notified of a missing person Saturday night. Witnesses told officials that 38-year-old Jennifer Loftus was last seen swimming in Pemigewasset Lake.
Emergency response crews pulled the Manchester woman from the lake a short time later. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
