Westerhoff reports that Rev. Peter Gomes of Harvard endorsed Patrick. "I have known Deval Patrick since he was an undergraduate in Harvard College, I have followed his remarkable career with interest since that time, and I am delighted to count him among my parishioners and my friends,'' Gomes said in a statement. "Few people have been better prepared in temperament or capacity, or through experience, for this office than Deval."
