Patrick is still the Democrat to beat in the Sept.19 primary. In a poll of 479 likely Democratic primary voters, 35 percent picked Patrick, 30 percent picked Christopher F. Gabrieli, and 27 percent picked Thomas F. Reilly; eight percent were undecided. (Margin of error is 4.6 percent.) Read the CBS take here, or see the full results here. The results are in line with what other recent surveys have shown. But the candidates are close, the TV ads have begun in earnest, and you can expect a lot of activity over the next six weeks.
