Menino readies unity rally

Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino just told The Globe's Donovan Slack that he is hosting a "unity rally" tomorrow night and that failed gubernatorial candidates Christopher Gabrieli and Tom Reilly have agreed to attend to show their support for Democratic nominee Deval Patrick.

The rally was organized after state Democratic party officials decided against hosting the traditional unity breakfast this year. The mayor's rally will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Adams Park in Roslindale, on the corner of South and Washington streets.
