How crowded? Long line, but very disorganized. The poll workers let everyone stand in the line for one precinct instead of splitting people up and moving us through faster.

Name: Nina
Voted at: Jackson-Mann School
Voted for: Deval Patrick

Name: Saul Firm
Voted at: Jackson Mann
Voted for: Deval Patrick
Most signs were for: Deval Patrick
How crowded? It was a breeze. I like to pretend that Election Day means I can be late for work, so I slept in and voted around 9:30 and it was pretty much empty. My employer hasn't said anything about that yet, but I don't really care if he does.
Presidential choice in '08? Al Sharpton
Other comments: Election Day should be a national holiday, that way more people would vote and appreciate what voting means.

Name: Katherine
Voted at: Jackson Mann School
Voted for: Christy Mihos
Most signs were for: Deval Patrick
How crowded? Very crowded at 9am--I walked past the Taft School to get to my polling place, and they had a large crowd as well. No huge lines though, very well managed. (I was especially impressed with their handling of a disgruntled voter who was giving them a difficult time--very swiftly and maturely handled.)
Presidential choice in '08 Haven't a clue
Other comments: I know this sounds petty, but I'm originally from New York State, where we used lever machines for voting (when I was little, I couldn't wait until I was old enough to pull the levers!) I feel the lever machines are better in terms of privacy and the ability to go back and change a vote before you enter your ballot, although I do recognize that you can accomidate so many more voters at one time with the Scantron system used here.

Amesbury
Name: Allen
Voted at: Town Hall
Voted for: No selection
Most signs were for: No selection
How crowded? ~ 7:30 not empty, short quick lines unless you needed to use one of the two touch screens. 1 was donw the other seemed ot be malfunctioning.
Presidential choice in '08? Jon Daly
Other comments: All poll workers were very professional & friendly and doing their best to be helpful with those needing the Touch Screens. Acording to one poll worker the TouchScreens worked great when initially tested. There were two "technicians" trying to get them working, they were on the cell phone and pulling out manuals (not a good sign).

How crowded? The library was busy, but not a long wait. Congressman Olver was there waiting to cast his vote.
Presidential choice in '08 Al Gore
Other comments: I'm reading this morning all the trouble around the country over electronic voting machines. Since the 2000 election, I've been especially impressed with opscan voting used in my town. Why isn't this the standard? Electronic tallies supported by immutable paper records are the easiest means of voting I've experienced.

Andover
Name: Faye
Voted at: Andover High School
Voted for: Deval Patrick
Most signs were for: Deval Patrick
How crowded? Not really but I was there early (7:30). Heard there was a long line when they opened at 7:00 though.

Name: Gil Ferri
Voted at: ANDOVER HIGH SCHOOL
Voted for: Deval Patrick
Most signs were for: Deval Patrick
How crowded? medium crowd
Presidential choice in '08 no body currently Independant voter
Other comments: Hope Deval Patrick wins - one thing never brought out in the debates ,why didn't the audience get to ask questions to the canidates more, we're the voters. Republicans are getting to party driven ,people want the best leader not just because your from one party . I'm in commercial sales in eastern Mass and have seen alot of business move out of state or close in the last 6 years ,Massachusetts needs new leadership with ideas to bring business back to the Commonwealth .The other question that bother me Healey said she going to lower our taxes ,why in the 5 or more years after we voted to cut income tax didn't they do it during Roomey and Healey ? Just political lies by Healey 1/2 % of $100,000 is only $500 less income tax . My wifes house taxes when up $2000 plus per year in the last six years.

Other comments: The Boston ballots use black markers to fill in the circles. If you notice the marker goes right through the ballots. I question how that affects the voting process. They also give you a "cover" to put your ballot in. If you look at the "cover" it has black marks all over it from voters who previously put their freshly marked ballots in it. I'm always afraid that the black ink residue will taint my ballot so I don't use the "covers"

How crowded? No one was ahead of me when I got there, but by the time I left there were about 20 people in line.
Presidential choice in '08 Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton
Other comments: There weren't too many people with signs where I voted. The campaign run by Healy was appallingly negative and was borderline liabelous. In the years I've been in Massachusetts (all under republican control), crime has risen, property taxes have risen, and most importantly we've lost cornerstones of our business community. It's time for a change. If higher taxes will support better education and police work, I am all for it. Perhaps Patrick will play to our strengths in the business community and open up Massachusetts to biotech and energy companies.

Other comments: Healey's campaign was appauling. Enough is enough and I hope voters indicate this at the polls. The Republican attack method is disgusting. The only thing it does is take away from the issues and confuses voters.

How crowded? It was much more crowded than the primary, which is expected, but even the poll workers commented how brisk it was around 10:45am. There were people waiting in line for a voting spot. Which is good news for Ward 21 which had the lowest turnout in the city for the primary.
