| Name: | Brett Fasullo | | Voted at: | Jackson Mann School | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | It wasn't overcrowded at 8:30am. There was a steady stream of folks going in and out and a lot of excitement outside. | | Presidential choice in '08? | Barack Obama | | Other comments: | It has been a long time since I felt that my opinion mattered, and that is why Deval got my vote. This is an exciting time for Massachusetts on many levels. |
| Name: | Catherine | | Voted at: | Honan Allston Library | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | No selection | | How crowded? | Went at lunchtime. Not crowded -- maybe 5 people? Easy in and out. Only hang up was the ballot questions took people much longer. But, people are always nice there! | | Presidential choice in '08 | None yet --- not excited by frontrunners. | | Other comments: | Hard candy -- no brownies. Poll worker had sweatshirt with a Thanksgiving turkey holding a sign that said: Eat Pizza. Cute! |
| Name: | Christine | | Voted at: | Library | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | not at all crowded. they had some hard candies. | Name: | Kate | | Voted at: | Jackson Mann School | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | Long line, but very disorganized. The poll workers let everyone stand in the line for one precinct instead of splitting people up and moving us through faster. | | Presidential choice in '08? | John Edwards | | Other comments: | There's never brownies or treats where I vote! |
| Name: | Nina | | Voted at: | Jackson-Mann School | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | Went at 6:45 am to get there before the crowds...there was already a line, but it went quickly once they opened the polls. | | Presidential choice in '08 | Hilary Rodham Clinton | | Other comments: | |
| Name: | Saul Firm | | Voted at: | Jackson Mann | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | It was a breeze. I like to pretend that Election Day means I can be late for work, so I slept in and voted around 9:30 and it was pretty much empty. My employer hasn't said anything about that yet, but I don't really care if he does. | | Presidential choice in '08? | Al Sharpton | | Other comments: | Election Day should be a national holiday, that way more people would vote and appreciate what voting means. |
| Name: | Katherine | | Voted at: | Jackson Mann School | | Voted for: | Christy Mihos | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | Very crowded at 9am--I walked past the Taft School to get to my polling place, and they had a large crowd as well. No huge lines though, very well managed. (I was especially impressed with their handling of a disgruntled voter who was giving them a difficult time--very swiftly and maturely handled.) | | Presidential choice in '08 | Haven't a clue | | Other comments: | I know this sounds petty, but I'm originally from New York State, where we used lever machines for voting (when I was little, I couldn't wait until I was old enough to pull the levers!) I feel the lever machines are better in terms of privacy and the ability to go back and change a vote before you enter your ballot, although I do recognize that you can accomidate so many more voters at one time with the Scantron system used here. |
| Name: | Allen | | Voted at: | Town Hall | | Voted for: | No selection | | Most signs were for: | No selection | | How crowded? | ~ 7:30 not empty, short quick lines unless you needed to use one of the two touch screens. 1 was donw the other seemed ot be malfunctioning. | | Presidential choice in '08? | Jon Daly | | Other comments: | All poll workers were very professional & friendly and doing their best to be helpful with those needing the Touch Screens. Acording to one poll worker the TouchScreens worked great when initially tested. There were two "technicians" trying to get them working, they were on the cell phone and pulling out manuals (not a good sign). |
| Name: | Lori | | Voted at: | Town Hall | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | Long lines | | Presidential choice in '08 | Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton | | Other comments: | Get out and vote! Your vote does count! :-) |

| Name: | Scott | | Voted at: | Amesbury Town Hall | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | Voted at 7:00. Line out the door, but you can by-pass the line if you know your precinct. Took about 10 minutes. | | Presidential choice in '08 | not Hilary, not Kerry, maybe edwards | | Other comments: | |
| Name: | Jim Cormier | | Voted at: | Fort River Elementary | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | I was able to vote immediately | | Presidential choice in '08? | Barack Obama | | Other comments: | |
| Name: | Keith | | Voted at: | Munson Library | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | The library was busy, but not a long wait. Congressman Olver was there waiting to cast his vote. | | Presidential choice in '08 | Al Gore | | Other comments: | I'm reading this morning all the trouble around the country over electronic voting machines. Since the 2000 election, I've been especially impressed with opscan voting used in my town. Why isn't this the standard? Electronic tallies supported by immutable paper records are the easiest means of voting I've experienced. |
| Name: | Faye | | Voted at: | Andover High School | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | Not really but I was there early (7:30). Heard there was a long line when they opened at 7:00 though. | | Presidential choice in '08? | Don't know but definately not Mitt. | | Other comments: | Most of the signs that early were for the Questions (mostly 3) and not the candidates. only saw one candidate sign and it was for Deval. |
| Name: | Gil Ferri | | Voted at: | ANDOVER HIGH SCHOOL | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | medium crowd | | Presidential choice in '08 | no body currently Independant voter | | Other comments: | Hope Deval Patrick wins - one thing never brought out in the debates ,why didn't the audience get to ask questions to the canidates more, we're the voters. Republicans are getting to party driven ,people want the best leader not just because your from one party . I'm in commercial sales in eastern Mass and have seen alot of business move out of state or close in the last 6 years ,Massachusetts needs new leadership with ideas to bring business back to the Commonwealth .The other question that bother me Healey said she going to lower our taxes ,why in the 5 or more years after we voted to cut income tax didn't they do it during Roomey and Healey ? Just political lies by Healey 1/2 % of $100,000 is only $500 less income tax . My wifes house taxes when up $2000 plus per year in the last six years. |
| Name: | Richard M. Hudak II | | Voted at: | Andover High School | | Voted for: | Deval Patrick | | Most signs were for: | Deval Patrick | | How crowded? | There was a steady flow of people, but no tie-ups. There were even parking spaces. | | Presidential choice in '08? | John Edwards | | Other comments: | Andover is characterized by widespread voting regularities! A word about my candidate: he's the real deal. I saw him talking with voters after an appearance in Lowell. He's genuinely concerned about them. He's authentic. |

I bet quite a few people people didn't even see it. Did the town publish something to the effect that this would be on the ballot in Arlington? |

My girlfriend voted at the same place 2 hours before me, and she claimed poll workers were telling people in line to have their photo IDs ready. Last time I checked, this is not required under Massachusetts law(Ch. 54 Sec.76). I didn't witness this while I was there, so perhaps this issue was addressed. |

The voting place acRoss the stree also had a long line almost down to Tremont Street. I had to wait about 15 minutes to vote | | Presidential choice in '08 | Anyone but Kerry | | Other comments: | The Boston ballots use black markers to fill in the circles. If you notice the marker goes right through the ballots. I question how that affects the voting process. They also give you a "cover" to put your ballot in. If you look at the "cover" it has black marks all over it from voters who previously put their freshly marked ballots in it. I'm always afraid that the black ink residue will taint my ballot so I don't use the "covers" |

The campaign run by Healy was appallingly negative and was borderline liabelous. In the years I've been in Massachusetts (all under republican control), crime has risen, property taxes have risen, and most importantly we've lost cornerstones of our business community. It's time for a change. If higher taxes will support better education and police work, I am all for it. Perhaps Patrick will play to our strengths in the business community and open up Massachusetts to biotech and energy companies. |

The lines were confusing as the list was divided but nothing told the voters which line they should be in. | | Presidential choice in '08 | John McCain | | Other comments: | Don't forget to vote for Ken Prochachianti in the North End, South End, and Chinatown.
