President Bush’s approval rating among New Hampshire residents improved somewhat since September but is still dismally low, meaning that presidential candidates, Republican and Democrats, are likely to continue their criticism of him when visiting the state.
A new poll by the American Research Group released Friday found that 35 percent of respondents approved of the job Bush is doing in office while 59 percent disapproved. In September, just 30 percent approved and 66 disapproved.
The quarterly poll, taken this week, included 600 respondents, 540 of which were registered voters. The margin or error was plus or minus 4.2 percent.
