At a private dinner with 16 potential supporters at a Manchester Italian restaurant, former New York Governor George Pataki told them it would be okay with him if they endorsed another presidential candidate while he makes up his mind.
Pataki flew in just for the dinner at Fratellos Restaurant. He said he wanted to reconnect with his family and make policy speeches before considering entering the race.
Polls show Pataki near the bottom in terms of support and name recognition.
Among those at the dinner were state Senator Ted Gatsas, state House Minority Leader Michael Whalley, state Representative Dave Courier, and Dover activist Matt Mayberry.
