Gore backers to gauge support at N.H. Dem Convention tomorrow
Two Democratic New Hampshire State Representatives from Nashua will man a “Draft Al Gore” table at tomorrow’s state Democratic convention in Concord.
Every presidential candidate or a high-level surrogate will address the convention, one of the more high profile events put on by the party each year.
SURVEY: Would you vote for Al Gore?
Representatives Andrew Edwards and Jeff Fontas recently sent a letter around to Democratic activists in the state asking for their support. That letter was published by The Hotline. As a result, organizers from AlGore.org rented a table at the convention and sent literature as well as a laptop with video of Gore’s recent speeches.
“Since we cannot speak on behalf of the candidate we were not given speaking time in front of the convention, but we hope our presence there will begin to build more momentum for him to run,” Edwards said in an interview.
