New Hampshire Today, Aug. 27
In New Hampshire today there is news coverage of presidential candidate visits over the weekend as the government in Concord prepares for a special session next week.
John Edwards finished his four day bus tour yesterday with large rallies (including what we hear was a 1,000 person event in Portsmouth) and did CBS's Face the Nation from Manchester.
While in New Hampshire, CBS host Bob Schieffer tells the Union Leader he loves covering New Hampshire.
Rudy Giuliani was in the state Saturday where, as the Union Leader reports, he unveiled his tax plan.
Bill Richardson is "gaining momentum" according to the Foster's Daily Democrat.
The Union Leader looks at the temporary replacement for John Stephen at the state's Health and Human Services and the special Legislative session next week to fix some budget issues.
The Concord Monitor reports that new rules will prevent state employees from checking non-work related websites. (We hope Boston.com is considered work-related.)
The Concord Monitor finds a more local angle on the Globe's reporting that the pro-gay organization Human Rights Campaign played a large financial and organizational role for Democrats last year.
