Former NH House Speaker/Senate President endorses Giuliani
Stuart Lamprey, who served as both state house speaker and senate president, endorsed Rudy Giuliani's presidential campaign this morning.
Lamprey, of Moultonborough, served in the state house for 21 years. He was the House Speaker from 1959-1964 and Senate president from 1965-1969. He stepped down as Senate president in to become Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce under President Richard Nixon.
“After taking a good look at the GOP field, I am endorsing Rudy Giuliani for President based on the strength of his record leading New York City and his singular ability to challenge the Democrats,” Lamprey said in a statement.
